POLICY VERSION 2026-07-10

Acceptable Use Policy

These rules protect prospects, advocates, workers, payment providers, and Makewrk from spam, deception, fraud, and unsafe activity.

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Use Makewrk lawfully and honestly

You may use Makewrk only for lawful, truthful referrals to legitimate services. You must follow consumer-protection, advertising, telemarketing, messaging, privacy, employment, tax, anti-bribery, sanctions, and referral-compensation rules that apply to you. Do not describe an advocate as independent if you control or pay them in a way that requires a different disclosure.

Consent and respectful contact

Do not upload or use a phone number without a lawful reason. Do not send unsolicited bulk invitations, repeatedly contact someone who declined, disguise promotional traffic as an operational message, scrape contact lists, or use Makewrk to harass, threaten, discriminate, or exploit anyone. Honor opt-outs and local calling hours.

No fake or manipulated referral activity

Do not create fake prospects, self-refer through alternate numbers, coordinate sham contacts, reuse or rent identities, automate calls or texts, manipulate taps, conceal the source of traffic, or provide false evidence. Do not promise prospects a benefit for contacting a worker unless it is lawful, disclosed, and approved by Makewrk.

No harmful or restricted services

Do not use Makewrk for illegal goods or services, fraud, weapons trafficking, sexual exploitation, hate or violent activity, controlled substances sold unlawfully, deceptive financial services, high-risk medical claims, or any category prohibited by our payment or communications providers. Do not upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass the service.

Accurate public cards

Names, trades, service areas, photos, and recommendations must be accurate and used with permission. Do not impersonate a licensed professional, claim credentials you do not hold, copy another business's brand, or publish private or sensitive information. An advocate must disclose a compensated referral when the law requires it.

Enforcement and reporting

Makewrk may block traffic, review records, hold an operation for investigation, remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts when reasonably needed to protect users or comply with law and provider rules. We will handle lawful earned rewards according to the Reward and Refund Policy. Report suspected abuse to abuse@makewrk.com.
